The Coven and Coffin Blog Hop:
From October 27th until November 1st six authors, including myself, are participating in the Coven and Coffin Blog Hop. This hop is a little different from all the rest since we’re each sort of putting on our own show. For instance, I’m running the Murder Mystery Party. You’ll find that post down below. Each day will be another hour at the party. The suspects are us–the authors doing the hop. Each day on my blog you’ll read part of the Murder Mystery script and you’ll also meet one of the authors. You must pick up the clues as you read and try to figure out which one of us is the killer. How fun does that sound? Well, there is plenty more where that came from. There is also a Hop wide giveaway. We’re giving away a huge prize pack to one luck reader, so be sure to enter the giveaway each day. Now, here is what the other authors are doing and how to find them:
The Murder Mystery Party Continues!
- Readers may ask one question in the comments section per day.
- Only 3 questions will be answered per day and some answers may throw you off the trail.
- All authors have motive to kill the victim, only one had the guts.
- Each day is another hour at the party.
- The party starts at seven and you must find the killer by midnight!

In case you missed it:
Everyone seems to be standing around, not knowing what to do. So you decide to take it upon yourself to call the police. They inform you that your location is secluded and it will likely take until midnight for them to arrive. They tell you to make sure no one leaves the party. When you relay this to the rest of the guests, some moan in discontent and others seem to be a little worried about being trapped in a house with a killer.
“I’m not staying here,” Noree Cosper says, “There is a killer in here and I’m taking off.”
“Well, maybe we should find out who did it and lock them up before they do it again,” you say.
“That’s a great idea,” Kayla says.
“Let’s start by trying to find the murder weapon,” you reply.
Everyone splits into groups and you are paired with Noree Cosper. While searching she tells you that she didn’t do it, but she wishes she would have. Apparently, Stanford stole one of her story ideas and made a lot of money on it. You wonder if you can trust her. After all, she did want to leave the party.
After about 20 minutes of searching, you and Noree hear M. R. Graham calling to everyone from a bedroom not far from the bathroom where Stanford’s dead body is.
“We found it everyone! Come quick!” she yells.
Everyone congregates in the bedroom. Graham points to an object in the closet that is covered in blood. It’s a long metal towel hanger. It must have come from the bathroom.
“Whose bedroom is this?” you ask?
“It’s mine,” Kayla speaks up quietly, “but I didn’t do this.”
Can you trust her word?
The clock strikes nine as you ponder everything you’ve learned so far.
Noree Cosper Bio:
Noree Cosper loves writing about magic in the modern world. While growing up in Texas she constantly searched for mystical elements in the mundane. She buried her nose in both fiction and books about Wicca, Religion, and Mythology. Everyday became an adventure as she joined a group of role-players, acting out her fantasies of vampires, demons, and monsters living in the world.
She embraced her nerdom wholeheartedly.
Noree grew, but never left her love for fantasy and horror. Her dreams pushed her and her hand itched to write the visions she saw. So, with her fingers on the keys, she did what her heart had been telling her to do since childhood. She wrote.
Ninety years ago, Gabriella di Luca promised to protect the family of her dying lover. She failed to keep that promise. She was too far away to stop the devil that murdered the eldest Van Helsing son. Years later, Gabby learns the devil has resurfaced. She arrives in Hampton, TX, determined to stop the devil before it can lay a bloody hand on the remaining three brothers.
However, madness is spreading through Hampton. She suspects the devil is using this madness to test a drug which has a side effect of demonic possession. Gabby rushes to end the source of the madness only to fall victim to it. For a woman cursed with eternal life, dying is no threat. However, Gabby must stop the devil’s plot or risk losing her most precious possession: her mind.
