Vibe Series: Become a Character!

Vibe layout copyOkay! I’m hot on the trail of FINALLY getting the second Vibe story out.

For those of you who don’t know, Vibe is a short story series I’m working on that is a little Sci-Fi and a little Police Procedural. This series features a dytopian society in the future where humans must feed off of the emotions of other humans to survive. Humans are all born with colored irises that tells what emotion they need to survive. After a year, the color of the iris turns to brown and their emotion can be kept a secret. That’s not true in all cases. Rarely, the color of the iris at birth will stick for a lifetime. Even more rare is the rainbow colored iris. The one that dictates that the person with these eyes has the ability to feed off of any emotion.

Prism is one of these people, and her irises show the world what she is–a color wheel. There are really only two career choices for a color wheel. Law enforcement or criminal. Prism chose law enforcement. She’s a homicide detective in a world where emotions have become weapons, currency and livelihood.

The first Vibe story, Grey Apathy, is about 9,000 words long and is available on Amazon and Smashwords.

The second is currently being worked on and I expect it to be published in November. It’s called Black Remorse.

Now, here is the fun part. While writing the second one, I realized that I will always be in need of new characters to be suspects and witnesses in these stories. Since part of my inspiration for these stories came from watching WAY too much Law and Order, I decided to do something fun. If any of you watch Law and Order, you know that they often have famous people on as guest stars. That’s kinda similar to what I want to do. I’d like to get some ideas from you for these special characters and you can submit your ideas in the form below. These characters can be based on yourself or just some random character you have floating around in your head. No rules, just fun! If I choose your character, I’ll notify you by email and let you know which story to look for them in.
